Terms & Conditions
1. CARE & RESPONSIBILITY
Barrenjoey High School P&C and exhibiting retailers will exercise all reasonable care with works exhibited in their stores, but will not be held responsible for the loss of or damage to any work while in the store. The organisers or retailers do not insure the works during the exhibition. Artists must arrange their own insurance to cover potential damage, loss or theft. Participation is deemed as acceptance of this as outlined in the Artist Agreement.
2. COPYRIGHT
Barrenjoey High School and it's P&C reserve the right to photograph works exhibited in the Barrenjoey Artwalk for the purpose of documentation and promotion. The artist will grant a license to Barrenjoey High School P&C to reproduce the image of the artwork in electronic and printed forms (e.g. for online inclusion as part of the Artwalk collateral on websites, PR material and social media) and for general publicity purposes. The artist will maintain copyright over all commercial reproductions of their artwork. All necessary acknowledgements of authorship will be duly made.
3. PRIVACY MANAGEMENT PLAN
Any personal details requested on forms will only be used for the purpose of processing sale of works, keeping records, and liaising with the buyer of the artwork they purchase.
4. FREIGHT
Exhibitors are responsible for all freight and insurance charges to and from the exhibition. All artworks must be delivered by the Artist directly to the retailer or business as outlined in the Artist Agreement.
5. SALE OF ARTWORK
All artwork will be for sale with a commission on sales of 30% to Barrenjoey High School P&C and the balance of 70% to the Artist. Sale price is set by the Artist.
Should the Art sell, a red dot will be placed on the Sell Sheet in the retailer's window, but the Art must remain in the window till the end of the exhibiting period. The Artist will be contacted directly by the P&C to share the good news.
All funds shall be distributed to the Artist within 10 days of the P&C having received the funds from the buyer.
In the event the artwork doesn’t sell, the Artist must collect the artwork in accordance with the timings as outlined in the Artist Agreement.
