About This Work
This piece is about the quiet beauty of ordinary things we choose to display, keep, and pass on. A snippet of a decorative plate wall, where plates are no longer the canvas for food but become art objects in their own right. Featuring classic blue and white patterns— each one inspired by the hand-painted antique plates I collect. Touches of rust to bring warmth and finely drawn detail to highlight the elaborate designs. The two small neon yellow accents on the handles interrupt the overall traditional look and act as a reminder that heirloom forms can, and should, live in the present.
