Sophie Taggart

Sophie Taggart is a contemporary Australian artist whose work explores how what surrounds us shapes the way we think and feel. Her paintings begin with words written directly onto the canvas and build through a layering of colour. Each artwork invites us to consciously choose the thoughts we return to - and consider how those thoughts shape the way we experience our lives. Recently Commissioned by Wollongong High School of the Performing arts to complete a series of five abstract works and four favourite place sketches for their main hallway and office spaces.
